Editorial methods and limitations

What we publish
Treatment Comparison is an educational website about treatment products and online care in the United States. Our guides help readers check a product description, budget for a plan, understand a source, or prepare questions for a clinician. We do not diagnose, prescribe, dispense, or provide patient support.
A source must support a specific statement
For approval status and safety, we use medical and regulatory references such as FDA, DailyMed, and MedlinePlus. For what a company sells or charges, we identify its own product page. Provider information documents a commercial claim; it does not demonstrate treatment effectiveness, pharmacy licensure, or quality of care. Source-access dates describe when information was consulted, not a guarantee of present availability.
What we add
Our contribution is the comparison structure: separate the formulation from the ingredient, identify missing charges, state what a study can and cannot answer, and turn those gaps into questions. Cost worksheets show the calculation and its assumptions. Fictional examples are labeled and do not represent quotes or typical prices.
No unsupported scores or clinical-review claims
We no longer present the previous numerical provider scores as independently established ratings. Existing provider profiles remain available for research. We have not tested these services as patients or independently measured clinical outcomes. The collective byline identifies the site as the publisher; it does not represent a panel of licensed clinicians. AI tools assist drafting and site development. Source checking is editorial work, not medical sign-off.
Publication and updates
We retain the existing catalog while improving its evidence page by page. Older pages do not all have a documented source record. The presence of a page in our navigation is not a claim that every statement has been independently verified. Updated guides identify their sources, scope, and limitations. We do not change an article date just because the website was rebuilt. Some source dates precede the latest edit because an editorial correction is different from a full source refresh.
Funding and links
Provider links currently go directly to provider websites without affiliate tracking. The site previously used affiliate links. Historical commercial placement is not a clinical recommendation. See the advertising disclosure.
Corrections
Report the page URL, statement, and supporting source to contact@treatment-comparison.com. We use factual reports to check the source and amend or withdraw unsupported material. Do not send medical records. Treatment decisions belong with a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
